EXPERIENCE THE POWER IN BEING DIFFERENT
If you feel ‘different’ to most of the people around you, ironically, you are not alone.
Being and feeling ‘different’ generally is experienced negatively until it is meaningfully transformed into a positive expression of uniqueness and power.
The living matrix of our world functions best when the uniqueness of its inhabitants is expressed.
It is the diversity of expression that makes up the rich wholeness of Earth and creates a vital, healthy ecosystem.
BREAKING OUT OF FEAR
It can be very challenging to overcome and move beyond the powerful forces of mediocrity that work to limit you.
We are living in a society that uses sophisticated techniques to remind us of our imperfections or difference.
These repetitive messages can have a very disempowering effect. When exposed to on a consistent basis, they can be soul-crushing and lead to self-loathing, depression and isolation.
Many people learn to fear their own ‘differentness’ and try to disguise or hide it.
Historically, it has been the brave, courageous, unique and different who have forged new ways, found solutions to seemingly impossible problems, brokered peace and changed the future.
Malala Yousafzai, is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She is known for human rights advocacy and had this to say:
“We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.” “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
Maya Angelou was an American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist, who said:
“If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.”
IT IS THE ‘DIFFERENT’ WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
A contemporary example of the ‘different’ making difference is Dutch Inventor Boyan Slat, now in his 20’s, is CEO of The Ocean Cleanup. The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization, developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.
In the past, there was a pathway for those who were different and wanted or needed to follow the ‘beat of their own drum’.
This pathway was not for the faint hearted, nor was it to be undertaken lightly. It has been called many names – the dragon path, shamanism, the green way, the warrior’s path. It was traditionally a journey undertaken with mentors and elders and by engaging deeply and profoundly with allies and guides from nature.
Those who heard the call to walk the ancient path of self-empowerment undertook the necessary rites of passage and initiations to acquire specific soul skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to step into and perform their sacred roles in the world.
This pathway was designed to lead an apprentice shaman to great expansions in consciousness and developing a high degree of fearlessness.
This type of spiritual and magical training was found in mystery schools, in indigenous tribes, in ancient orders and sacred places of learning. In many cases, only the chosen few could undertake the training and usually it required prolonged periods of retreat from the outside world.
When properly trained, the resulting ‘graduates’ – healers, shamans, medicine women and men, were then held in high regard for the skills and powers they had acquired to bring healing and transformation to people and places.
WALKING THE SACRED PATH IN THE MODERN WORLD
The Aquarian Age is here and the ancient mystery teachings can be revealed once more to those who seek a proven pathway that leads to acquisition of true spiritual power.
The path that enables an apprentice to harness their differentness in a way that effectively contributes to the restoration of peace and harmony on the planet.
Whether you wish to be a shaman, a medicine man or woman, or you simply wish to embrace all aspects of yourself to fearlessly stand for a better world, shamanism is one of the world’s oldest existing practices that enables you to undertake this journey ‘home’, home to yourself.
Shamanism is not a religion and it is not limited to a specific indigenous tradition or culture. It is a metaphysical discipline practiced for at least 50,000 years. It is a spiritual pathway where those who are different learn to embrace, develop and express their uniqueness and gifts.
The Medicine Woman Certificate in Shamanic Studies© online program is a 2-year shamanic apprenticeship ideal for those who are different and who wish to make a difference.
